Elegant and stylish Amsterdam Bed and Breakfast
A wonderful stay!
What a lovely stay in Lesley Marsh`s beautiful old, townhouse. L.M is a wonderful host – charming and exceptionally interesting Her breakfasts are outstanding – lots of different Dutch cheese, hams, newly baked bread, croissants, pancakes, yoghurt…. The rooms are very nice, clean, spacious and tastefully furnished. This lovely 300 year old townhouse is situated in a a very nice residential area of Amsterdam, just off the river Amstel, Prinsengracht around the corner, walking distance to all the interesting sights, tram 3 minutes away! The very quiet street where Aemstelhuys is situated has at least 2 really good restaurants, many more around the corner. We are already planning to go back and would stay at no other place!
A great stay
2 nights (beg of June ) A great stay. Our room the green one /second floor really nice looking, wide and confortable, new (but really NEW) shower, everything clean. Great amenities;little extras such as coffee machine, kettle, cookies, toilet gadgets were at our disposal for free. A due note must be given to the breakfast: the table really nicely equipped, fresh bread, 4 sort of jams, sweety choco sprinkles, different kinds of Dutch cheeses, fresh orange juice, coffee, English tea and a really sweety Chinoise cake just like the one my sister in law bakes. All these positive things surrounded by a really pleasing, kind, gentle, polite House Owner named Lesley. Really pleasant breakfast time spent hearing her travel tales all over the world. A great time and really warm atmosphere. grazie Lesley!
My husband and I spent 5 fabulous nights at Aemstellhuys in the spring and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Lesley is a fascinating woman and a welcoming hostess, and we felt very comfortable in her home which is a state monument. We were greeted each morning with a breakfast with freshly baked rolls and croissants before we left to explore the city. Lesley gave us lots of tips and insider info about the city, which we found really useful and her recommendations of where to eat were all good. I would strongly recommend Aemstellhuys!
