The Cookery Course at Aemstelhuys Amsterdam

The course runs for four days and three nights at Aemstelhuys Amsterdam  In general from Tuesdays to Fridays but this can vary.

If you wish to form your own group of friends then the dates can be changed to suit to your plans wherever possible.

Residential Cookery Course Amsterdam

The aim is to provide you with the confidence to host and entertain at home through the use of simple but delicious menus, most of which can be prepared ahead of time. Also to give you ideas on how to entertain effortlessly, how to decorate your dinner table and enjoy your own dinner parties. The emphasis is on the enjoyment of entertaining and the fun of cooking.

Upcoming Cookery Courses

In general we will cook and prepare in the morning after breakfast. Aemstelhuys has a small patio garden at the rear with 100 year old vines and whenever possible coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening can be enjoyed outside. We will also visit the famous Albert Cuyp street market to buy fresh fruit, fish and vegetables, the fish stall on the bridge, the florists and the chocolate maker.

Amsterdam Nieuwmarkt (new market)

There will be time in the afternoons for you to visit Amsterdam, take a canal cruise or just relax. Final preparation of the dinner and then drinks will be followed by dinner accompanied by wine. There is the possibility of staying on at Aemstelhuys after the course on Bed and Breakfast basis for a very nominal amount.

In any event the course will provide you with useful ideas and a wonderful break and will give you a real “ Taste of Amsterdam”!

I look forward to welcoming you to Amsterdam and to cooking at Aemstelhuys.
