Your hostess Lesley Marsh

Lesley Marsh of Aemstelhuys B&B Amsterdam

After formal training in Switzerland and a lifelong career in the Hotel business, being home with two growing children and experimenting with cooking led Lesley to open a cooking school (Cooks Company) in the Gooi region of Holland in 1990. During this time she also took on outside catering for private dinner parties, weddings and parties.

She then moved to India where she worked as advisor and free lance chef for two consecutive Dutch Ambassadors. During this period she also gave training to some of the chefs of the Oberoi Group of Hotels.

Lesley returned to Amsterdam in the winter of 2005 and bought Aemstelhuys the following year.
